2024 reminders for the soul
Being a human on earth can be hard. The whole point of us here on earth is to learn grow and experience being a human. That means experiencing the good the bad the messy, the joyful, and inspiring moments. Give yourself and others a little grace these days. Sometimes you have to meet people where they are. & that means sometimes they can’t meet you where you are since you’ve been doing your internal work.

Have you ever felt like you've hit a wall? Like, genuinely, if all else fails what do you even do next? It’s a powerful thought, often leading to a sense of despair, but I’ve found it can actually be a turning point. For me, that phrase isn't about giving up; it’s about a radical reframe, a chance to 'start over and build again,' just like that powerful message I saw recently. When everything seems to crumble, sometimes the best, most freeing thing you can do is acknowledge the end of one chapter and bravely begin another. It’s like using fire to clear a field – not to destroy, but to make way for new growth. When life throws its absolute worst, and your carefully laid plans crumble, that feeling of 'all else failing' is an invitation. An invitation to strip away what isn't working, to let go of expectations, and to truly rebuild from the ground up. It’s a chance to redefine success on your own terms and to learn from the messy, beautiful journey of being human. I used to be so focused on 'looking to the future,' constantly planning and worrying about what was next. But a big shift for me has been 'living in the present.' It's incredible how much energy you free up when you stop fighting the past or fearing what’s next. As I've learned, 'allowing yourself to be present in the moment allows miracles to happen.' It’s not just a poetic phrase; it’s a practical tool for resilience, grounding you when you feel utterly lost. And the pressure to bounce back immediately? Forget about it! That’s where the wisdom of 'Time is an illusion, do things at your speed, love, grow, and observe' truly hits home. We’re often so quick to compare our journey to others, but everyone’s timeline for healing and rebuilding is unique. Give yourself that grace. Observe what’s happening, love yourself through the process, and focus on genuine growth, not just speed. Your journey is yours alone. So, when it genuinely feels like 'if all else fails,' here’s what I try to do: Acknowledge and release: Don’t fight the feelings of frustration or disappointment. Let them pass, like clouds in the sky. Identify the core lesson: What can this 'failure' teach you? Where can you grow from here? Every challenge holds a lesson. Reset your perspective: Shift from 'what went wrong?' to 'what can I build now?' Focus on possibilities, not limitations. Embrace the present: Stop replaying scenarios. Focus on one small, positive action you can take *today*. Be here, now. Pace yourself: No need to rush the 'building again' process. Take small, intentional steps. Sustainable progress is key. Seek support, but trust your inner compass: Remember, sometimes you have to meet people where they are, and that means you might need to lean on your own internal work to guide you. It's a journey, not a destination. And honestly, some of the most beautiful transformations happen after we've had to 'start over and build again' from scratch.
