Everything I got for school(Part 2)
#school supplies #BackToSchool thank you again to my nana for getting me everything!
Getting ready for a new school year is always an exciting time, especially when you have a fresh batch of school supplies! My recent haul got me thinking about all the 'things needed in school' and how each item plays a role in making learning smoother and more fun. While my nana is amazing at picking out everything, I've learned a few tips over the years about what makes certain supplies truly essential, especially if you're looking at 'grade 1 school supplies' or just gearing up for a productive year. First off, let's talk about the basics like colored pencils and crayons. They're not just for art class! I've found that having a good set of these makes note-taking more engaging and helps with visual learning. For example, I use different colors to highlight key concepts in my notes, which really helps information stick. When choosing, look for durability and vibrant pigments – you want colors that pop and don't break easily! Then there are the trusty erasers. While those cute novelty erasers are super fun (and mine came with a cool pencil case!), I always make sure to have a couple of standard, high-quality pink rectangular erasers for serious work. They tend to be more effective at cleanly removing pencil marks without smudging or tearing your paper, which is a lifesaver when you're trying to keep your assignments neat. And speaking of neatness, a good pencil sharpener is non-negotiable. I've learned that investing in one with a sturdy casing and a sharp blade saves so many pencils from being wasted and keeps your writing crisp. For projects and organization, glue sticks are incredibly handy. They're much less messy than liquid glue, making them perfect for sticking down cut-outs or creating presentations. I always keep a few on hand because you never know when a creative project will pop up! When it comes to staying organized and on top of tasks, sticky notes are my absolute favorite. I use them for everything – marking important pages in textbooks, jotting down quick reminders for homework, or even leaving little encouraging messages for myself. Having a stack of bright sticky notes makes sure I never miss an important detail. Paired with a set of colorful highlighters, I can easily categorize information in my textbooks and notes, making revision so much easier. I usually go for a mix of bright and pastel shades to keep things interesting. And let's not forget about those moments when you need to focus or catch up on online lessons. My earbuds are a total game-changer for creating a personal little study bubble, especially if I'm in a busy environment. Just pop them in, put on some study music or a podcast, and I can block out distractions. They're also great for listening to instructions or educational videos without disturbing others. Lastly, for those inevitable mistakes, a reliable white-out dispenser is a must-have. It helps keep my written work looking clean and professional, which is always a bonus for presentations and essays. Having the right school supplies isn't just about having 'things'; it’s about equipping yourself for success and making the learning process more enjoyable. Whether you're a first grader learning to write or an older student tackling complex subjects, having these essentials makes a big difference. Happy prepping!
