Yummy soft chocolate chip cookies 🍪

Ingredients:

• 8 tablespoons of salted butter

• 1/2 cup granulated sugar

• 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar

• 1 1/2 teaspoon food lion 100% honey

• 1 egg

• 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

• 1/4 teaspoon table salt & a good sprinkle of kosher salt

• handful or so of Ghirardelli dark chocolate melting wafers

Directions:

1). Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Microwave the butter for about 40 seconds to just barely melt it.

It shouldn't be hot - but it should be almost entirely in liquid form.

2). Using a stand mixer or electric beaters mix butter, sugars, honey, flour, baking soda and salt.

3). After the ingredients are mixed well add the 1 egg and mix - don’t over mix it. Mix just enough that it’s blended in.

4). Add chocolate and make sure you break up the wafers into tiny pieces. (I included the picture of how it should look). - You can also just use chocolate chips but I had this in my pantry and decided to give it a try.

5). Roll the dough into 12 balls and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cookies look puffy and dry and just barely golden.

6). Let them cool for about 20 minutes and enjoy. 😋
