Am I Transgender?
"Transgender is an umbrella term that describes people whose gender identity differs from the sex they were assigned at birth."
— Yes. Yes I am.
Hi, my name is Kaiden. I came out as being transgender whenever I was 18 years old. I always knew that I was different than all of the other people around me growing up. I just never knew or understood why.
I started HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy), also known as Testosterone, in 2020 when I was 24 years old. I have discovered so many new things that I have grown to absolutely love about myself over the past 4 years. My muscle mass changing, my body hair, my facial hair, the deepening of my voice, and much more.
In 2022, I was able to get my FTM (Female-To-Male) Top Surgery. Top Surgery is also known as chest masculinization surgery, it's a gender-affirming procedure that changes the appearance of the chest.
Also, in 2022, I was able to get my name legally changed on all of my legal documents, as well as my gender marker changed.
Here we are in 2024, and I'm absolutely living my life to the fullest. I have zero regrets about the path that I have chosen for myself, and you shouldn't either.
Transgender identity is a deeply personal aspect of who we are. Many individuals experience feelings of incongruence between their assigned sex at birth and their true gender identity. For those wondering, 'Am I transgender?' it's important to explore these feelings in a supportive environment. Transitioning, whether socially, medically, or both, can be empowering and life-affirming. In addition to medical interventions like hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and surgeries, many find community and support in LGBTQ+ groups or online forums. These resources provide insight and camaraderie, helping people navigate their journeys and affirm their identities. It's an essential step to connect with others who understand the unique experiences that transgender individuals face, from societal acceptance to personal challenges. Educational resources about gender identity can also be beneficial, offering clarity on terminology, rights, and health care options relevant to the transgender community. Engaging with literature, attending workshops, or seeking therapy can provide further support in transitioning and understanding one's identity. Always remember, every individual's journey is unique and valid. Embracing authenticity can lead to a fulfilling life, and there is a vast array of support systems available to help you along the way.

Living your true self! That’s fabulous ❤️
