August is 7 months old 🩵 🐢

He loves eating green veggies, rolling across the floor and being silly with his big sister. Doesn’t love teething, NOT being held, or sleeping… still.

Our little man is now a whopping 19 pounds and also has two teeth - beating his sister to the tooth game by a whopping 4.5 months.

Last picture is big little sis for comparison at the same age, 2.5 years ago.

August’s preference for green veggies is a wonderful sign of healthy eating habits early on, which can set the stage for a lifetime of nutritious choices. Rolling across the floor is a major developmental milestone indicating growing muscle strength and coordination. It’s quite common for babies around this age to have a love-hate relationship with teething. While the arrival of teeth is an important developmental marker, it can also cause discomfort and disrupt sleep routines—not unlike what August experiences. Many parents find that gentle teething remedies and extra cuddling during this period can help ease the process. August’s weight of 19 pounds at seven months is impressive and shows he's on a good growth track; interestingly, his early teething compared to his older sister suggests that developmental timelines can vary widely even within the same family. This natural variability reminds parents not to rush or worry about hitting milestones at exactly the same time as others. If you’re a parent witnessing similar stages in your baby’s growth, consider keeping a journal or photo comparisons like August’s family did with his sister. This not only captures precious memories but also helps track progress and celebrate each unique milestone. Engaging with community hashtags such as #7monthsold and #babymilestones can also provide support and connection with others navigating these joyful times. Lastly, balancing playful antics and nutrition sets a foundation for a happy, healthy baby. Encouraging safe exploration and sensory play fosters cognitive and motor development while nutritious meals support physical growth. As with August, every baby’s journey is unique and worth celebrating every step of the way.
