Eloping ✨
After 12 years two sons later were doing the damn thing 😍. I know what you’re thinking, hear me out we were planning a wedding before covid hit. Once it did of course everything was at a stand still. Then his grandma passed away during Covid, due to Covid 💔. And that kind of loss deserved to be grieved. It didn’t feel right to get married after so we decided to hit pause until everything opened back up and we let everyone grieve such a big loss. A few months ago we looked at the wedding prices have skyrocketed since we first started looking so we ultimately decided let’s just elope 🩷🩷 We found a cutesy little chapel in our hometown and can’t wait to celebrate our love with our immediate family 🩷 we’ll have a reception later on at the end of summer 🩷 #almostmarried #fiance #bride2025 #Lemon8Diary #lemon8challenge
Eloping has become a popular choice for couples seeking to simplify their wedding experience and prioritize personal connection over traditional elements. Many couples are now leaning toward small, intimate ceremonies, often in beautiful, scenic locations. The increasing costs associated with traditional weddings can deter couples, as seen in our experience where wedding prices soared post-pandemic. Factors such as venue costs, catering, and guest accommodations can add financial strain. Eloping allows couples to celebrate their love in a more personal and budget-friendly manner. Additionally, elopement provides an opportunity to honor significant memories, making it a special choice for couples who have faced challenges, like the loss of a family member. This journey helps create a more meaningful occasion surrounded by loved ones. As we transition into our new chapter of life, planning for a future reception later in the summer allows us to celebrate our union with a wider circle of friends and family. This blend of intimacy and community ensures that we honor both our relationship and those we hold dear, demonstrating that love thrives in various forms.

I’ve been thinking of doing the same thing! Congratulations and many blessings!
