~ Containers for meal prepping: 10/10
These containers are perfect! It comes with about 20 of them and they are just perfect! Fits so much food and has just overall helped me meal prep more!
~ Simple black sweater: 9.5/10
This sweat is so cute! I had bought it to wear to New York City to see the Rockettes and it was the perfect sweater! It’s not like super knitted like most are! It’s also perfect to dress down as well!
~ Aero Jeans: 10/10
I had also bought these for New York and believe it or not my legs were not cold at ALL! They are super soft, fit so perfect, and are just overall amazing! Also before anyone comes for me yea they’re skinny jeans! I love them and they will never go out of style!
~ Rimmel Lipstick in shade Candy: 10/10
I had seen this lipstick in a tiktok and it made me think of the early 2000s so I bought it! And boy am I glad that I did! It is the PERFECT pink shade! The pearly look to it adds the perfect shine!
~ Shea Moisture Rosemary and Collagen hair oil: 6/10
Now I am not saying is it horrible! However I have not seen it do anything different to my hair at all! I have pretty decent length hair but since being diagnosed with PCOS I have noticed my hair falling out more, one of the many side effects, so I had bought this to help! It does smell good and feels good I just wish I had more of a affect with the hair growth
~ Side ways chargers: 10000000/10
This is almost my 100000th time buying these! These chargers are made to come sideways so when you’re laying in bed on your phone you’re not bending the cord and damaging it! My Aunt bought them before me and when I borrowed it I bought them! The one I have had has lasted me for almost over a year which most chargers don’t even last half that!
~ Tear Drop Earrings: 8/10
These are so cute! I had bought them to be like an everyday earring! However I didn’t realize how big they are so it kind of feels heavy on my ears! Which can totally be my fault of not looking at the sizes but they’re still super cute!
~ Michael Kors Wallet: 8/10
I love this wallet! I had purchased this to go with my purse that’s also Michael Kors! I just thought the price was crazy, which I mean is understandable as it’s a name brand wallet! But still thought it was too pricey! However, I love it and the amount of different sleeves for different cards in it!
~ White boots: 9.5/10
I love these and they are so super cute! I worn them also in New York and we did a lot of walking and they were comfy until I got to the end and it’s not even my feet that we’re hurting! It was my ankles because the cloth was rubbing on my leg and irritating it! However I should have worn higher socks to help with that but I loved them! They look cute with just about every outfit whether it’s one to dress up a bit more or to wear casually!

You know how it goes – sometimes a quick selfie is the perfect way to kick off sharing something exciting, right? That's exactly how I love to introduce my latest finds, especially when it comes to my Amazon hauls! We all scroll through countless 'rate my' posts, and whether it's rating outfits, beauty products, or even our latest tech gadgets, getting that personal touch with a selfie just makes it feel more real. But how do you make your selfies really shine when you're trying to showcase your favorite new purchases? I've picked up a few tricks along the way to make my product-focused selfies not just look good, but also genuinely capture the essence of what I'm reviewing. First off, lighting is absolutely everything. Forget harsh overhead lights; natural light, especially from a window, can make such a huge difference. It brightens up your face and makes the product details pop, whether you’re showing off that simple black sweater or the gorgeous shade of your Rimmel Lipstick. Try facing the light source directly for an even glow. Next, think about your angles and how you're presenting the item. If you're like me and love a good pair of Aero Jeans, you want to show how they fit, maybe a slight turn to highlight the cut. For smaller items like those tear drop earrings or a Michael Kors Wallet, holding them up to the camera or positioning them clearly in the frame works wonders. You want the product to be visible and attractive, not just an afterthought. And remember, a genuine smile or an expressive look can do wonders for engaging your audience. Your background also plays a surprisingly big role. While a clean, uncluttered background usually works best for product focus, you can also get creative! If you're talking about meal prep containers, maybe a glimpse of your kitchen in the background adds to the context. Or if you're raving about your comfy white boots that got you through NYC, a hint of an outdoor setting could be fun. The goal is to avoid distractions so the focus stays on you and your amazing Amazon orders. Beyond the selfie itself, how you frame your 'rate my' content is key. I try to share not just what I bought, but why I love (or don't love) it. For instance, my experience with the Shea Moisture Rosemary & Vegan Collagen Strengthening Scalp & Hair Oil taught me that even highly-rated products might not work for everyone, and it's okay to be honest about that. Sharing those personal anecdotes, like how those sideways phone chargers saved my cables, makes your review relatable and trustworthy. Don't be afraid to give specific examples of how an item fits into your daily life. Finally, I always try to think about the 'aha!' moment. What's the one thing someone needs to know about this product? For my meal prep containers, it's how many come in a pack and how much food they hold. For the Aero Jeans, it's their unexpected warmth. Being specific helps others decide if the product is right for them. So next time you're about to hit 'post' on your own 'rate my' haul, think about these tips. A great selfie and an honest review can really help your content stand out and genuinely connect with your fellow Lemon8 shoppers! What are your go-to tips for taking product selfies?
