📍 best hike in kern river CA
This is the 7 tea cups hike in Kern River CA it is my favorite hike up here !!! The trail is very sunny so be careful and bring lots of water. The hike is only 4.2 miles there and back but with the heat and hills you will need plenty of water. You do not reach water till the 2nd mile of the hike and it’s a short ways from there till the teacups. This trail is honestly not for the newest hikers so much limping and it’s fairly easy to get lost. However, some hikers recently went up and spraypainted some trail makers this past year so definetly much easier now. The trail ends at a series of waterfalls called the 7 teacups it’s not the easiest to get into them so I would hang out in the more pool like area just before the teacups. Please please please be careful of water snakes we did see 4 while swimming today. Other than that 10/10 hike #hike #waterfall #7teacups #california #fun
The 7 Teacups trail is a hidden gem located in the picturesque Kern River area, renowned for its dramatic landscapes and tranquil waterfalls. Stretching approximately 4.2 miles round trip, this hike is best suited for those moderately experienced due to its steep sections and some potential for getting lost. Hikers should be cautious of the sun exposure along the way and should plan to bring adequate water, especially since the first opportunity to replenish supplies isn't until roughly two miles in. As of recent improvements, informative trail markers have been added, enhancing the navigational ease for hikers unfamiliar with the area. Upon reaching the end of the trail, adventurers are rewarded with a series of beautiful waterfalls known as the 7 Teacups, named for the unique rock formations resembling teacups. While swimming in the pools created by these falls is a popular activity, care must be taken with local wildlife, such as water snakes, encountered near these waters. In addition to the natural beauty, visitors can appreciate the diverse indigenous flora and fauna, making this trail a perfect setting for both photography and nature appreciation. Plan your hike soon to experience this unforgettable adventure in California's Kern River area!
