Hey everyone! If you're always on the hunt for your next favorite show, let me tell you, Paramount+ has been absolutely delivering with their original series. Beyond the fantastic picks I mentioned before, I wanted to dive a bit deeper and share why these, and a few others, are truly must-watch. Let’s start with Sky Med. This show isn't just a medical drama; it’s a high-stakes ride following a med-evac team in the Canadian wilderness. What makes it so compelling is how it expertly weaves in complex personal relationships, tackles issues like substance abuse, and respectfully explores indigenous culture within its thrilling rescue missions. It’s got heart, drama, and gorgeous scenery. I was hooked from the start, especially with the buzz around the *new season streaming January 11th*. Definitely add this to your list for a unique take on the genre! Then there’s Joe Pickett. If you’re a fan of Yellowstone, you’ll likely love this, as it comes from the same creative mind. It follows a dedicated game warden who goes above and beyond to protect his small town from corruption. It’s a gripping modern western mystery, full of suspense and moral dilemmas, set against a stunning backdrop. The characters are incredibly well-developed, and the storylines keep you guessing. The new season streaming June 4th was a major highlight for me, offering even more intense action and storytelling. And you absolutely cannot miss Tulsa King. Seriously, Sylvester Stallone as a mobster exiled to Oklahoma is pure gold! His character, Dwight Manfredi, is trying to build a new criminal empire while navigating a completely foreign world. It’s hilarious, action-packed, and surprisingly heartwarming at times. Stallone’s performance is charismatic and full of depth, making you root for him even when he’s being a total gangster. I remember eagerly anticipating the new season streaming November 13th after finishing the first. But the Paramount+ originals don’t stop there! If you’re looking for even more top-tier content, here are a couple more I highly recommend: 1883: This prequel to Yellowstone is an epic, sweeping historical drama that tells the origin story of the Dutton family’s journey west. It’s raw, emotional, and visually stunning, depicting the harsh realities of the American frontier. The performances from Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill are phenomenal. Truly a cinematic experience. Mayor of Kingstown: For those who love a gritty, intense crime drama, this is a standout. Jeremy Renner plays the unofficial "Mayor" of a town dominated by the prison industry, navigating the complex and dangerous world between law enforcement and criminals. It’s dark, thought-provoking, and incredibly well-written, exploring themes of systemic corruption and justice. Paramount+ has truly proven itself as a powerhouse for original content across diverse genres. From character-driven dramas to epic westerns and thrilling mysteries, there’s so much quality to explore. What are some of your personal favorite Paramount+ original series that you think I (and others!) should check out next? Let me know in the comments!
