Chicken Parmesan Recipe!
One of my favorite dinners!
Can be served over pasta, in a sandwich, or cut up over a salad! (We just eat ours on plates too)
Included a picture of each step but also included a little more detail below! Let me know if you try and make it!
Ingredients:
Thinly sliced chicken cutlets (boneless and skinless)
Fresh mozzarella cheese (not pictured)
Parmesan cheese (include with seasoning in breadcrumb mixture)
Italian breadcrumbs
Eggs
Italian seasoning
Basil
Salt
Pepper
Oil
Garlic powder
Onion powder
BIGGEST TIP:
Season everything. The chicken. The egg mixture. The breadcrumbs. All of it. Will add so much flavor!
Directions:
Melt oil and butter in pan (recommend using a deep one to fry chicken in)
While that is melting start coating your chicken in the egg mixture.
From the egg mixture you will coat your chicken in the breadcrumb mixture
ANOTHER TIP: separate bowls and forks for the egg mixture Vs the breadcrumb mixture
Fry coated chicken until golden brown and crispy
Place on drying rack to drain excess oil
Add layer of sauce and cheese to chicken
Place on oven safe rack and bake for 25 min at 350 degrees.
I made fresh marinara sauce for this recipe but jar works just fine too!
HEALTHY TIP:
If you are on a health journey and still want to enjoy this, you can always air fry or bake the chicken instead of frying! Use low fat cheese and a low sodium sauce!

Hey foodies! So many of you loved my Chicken Parmesan recipe, and I've been getting questions about how to get that perfect crispy chicken, gooey melted mozzarella, and rich marinara every single time. It's truly a labor of love, but with a few extra tips, you'll be a Chicken Parm pro in no time! Let's talk about that golden, crispy chicken. My original recipe emphasizes frying until golden brown, but here's how I ensure it's extra crunchy. First, make sure your oil is at the right temperature – around 350-375°F (175-190°C). Too cold, and your chicken gets greasy; too hot, and it burns before cooking through. Don't overcrowd the pan; fry in batches to maintain oil temperature and allow even cooking. After frying, those thinly sliced chicken cutlets need to rest on a wire rack to drain excess oil. This prevents them from getting soggy from residual heat. Want a secret? A second, light dredge in Italian breadcrumbs after the first can sometimes amp up the crisp factor! Just be careful not to make the coating too thick. Now for the star of the show: the melted mozzarella! Nothing beats that stringy, bubbly mozzarella pull. While fresh mozzarella is divine and I highly recommend it for its creaminess, low-moisture part-skim mozzarella also works wonders and melts beautifully. Make sure your mozzarella is at room temperature before layering; it helps it melt more evenly. I like to tear or slice my mozzarella rather than shred it for a more rustic, luscious melt. Don't be shy with it – a generous layer of cheese ensures that glorious cheesy topping. For that perfect bubbly, golden-brown top, keep an eye on it in the oven during the last few minutes – you want it perfectly browned, not burnt! And finally, the heart of any good Chicken Parm: the marinara sauce. While a good quality jarred sauce is a fantastic shortcut (and what I often use on busy nights!), making a quick homemade version can truly elevate the dish. Start with crushed tomatoes, sautéed garlic and onion (like the garlic and onion powder in my seasoning blend!), a touch of basil, and a pinch of sugar to balance acidity. Let it simmer for at least 30 minutes to develop flavor. If you're using jarred, you can still doctor it up! Stir in some fresh basil, a spoonful of Parmesan cheese, and a tiny bit of red pepper flakes for a subtle kick. Layering is key: start with a thin layer of sauce on the chicken, then the mozzarella, and a final drizzle of sauce on top to ensure every bite is coated in that rich marinara sauce. With these extra insights, your next batch of Chicken Parmesan will be even more spectacular. Remember, seasoning every layer – the chicken, the egg mixture, the breadcrumbs – is non-negotiable for max flavor! Happy cooking, and don't forget to share your creations!
