Lean & toned > bulky? What do you think? 👀

... Read moreWhen deciding between lean, toned, or bulky body types, it's important to consider your personal fitness goals and lifestyle. A lean body typically features less body fat with some muscle definition but without significant bulk. It’s often favored by those who prefer a slimmer, athletic appearance. Many find that focusing on consistent cardio and moderate weight training helps maintain this physique. On the other hand, a toned body is characterized by well-defined muscles and firmness, achieved through a mix of strength training and fat reduction. Toning workouts involve moderate weights with higher reps, creating muscle shape without excessive size. This is ideal if you want a fit appearance that balances strength and aesthetics. Bulky or muscular physiques usually result from lifting heavier weights with lower reps, combined with a calorie surplus to stimulate muscle growth. Such body types demonstrate visible muscle mass and strength but require dedicated nutrition and training regimens. From my experience, understanding the difference between lean and toned helped me set realistic expectations. While lean emphasizes low body fat, toned focuses more on muscle quality and definition. Avoid thinking bulky means better fitness—it’s all about what makes you feel confident and healthy. If you’re just starting out, try mixing various workouts to see what you enjoy most and how your body responds. And remember, consistency is key regardless of the body type chosen. Listen to your body, fuel it properly, and celebrate progress over perfection.

Is pilates just a lifestyle? (Instructor POV)
“Pilates is probably just like yoga, with a lot of stretching. I doubt it’s gonna be a real workout.” I couldn’t be more wrong💀. Coming from a HIIT background, I severely underestimated the difficulty level of reformer Pilates. And boy was I HUMBLED. 😶 I remember my first ever reformer class
