SAY GOODBYE TO BAT WINGS
Baby these moves will hit those bat wings sooo
good. I am sore the same day (and days after) when I do these!!
I used 5, 10, and 15 pound dumbbells with sets
of 10, 12, and 15. Lower reps with the 10 and 15
pounds !
If these moves are too difficult to add more weight
it's fine...just do more reps with the lighter
dumbbells in the meantime!

Hey everyone! So, you saw my go-to bat wing workout that really gets those arms burning, right? I know so many of us struggle with that stubborn arm fat, often called 'chicken wings' or 'bat wings.' It can feel frustrating, but trust me, getting rid of them is totally achievable with the right approach and consistency. My initial post shared some killer moves I swear by, but I wanted to dive a little deeper into how to truly banish those bat wings for good! First off, what are 'chicken wings'? Basically, it's excess fat and sometimes loose skin that accumulates on the back of your upper arms. It's super common and can be influenced by genetics, age, and lifestyle. But the good news is, we can absolutely work towards toning up that area! While the dumbbell workout I shared is fantastic for targeting your triceps (the muscle on the back of your arm), remember that getting rid of 'chicken wings' isn't just about one set of exercises. It's about a combination of things. Think of it as a multi-pronged attack! 1. Consistency is Key with Your BAT WINGS WORKOUT: You know how I said I get sore the same day? That's because I'm consistent! Doing these exercises regularly, say 2-3 times a week, is crucial. Your muscles need that consistent stimulus to grow stronger and firmer. Don't just do it once and expect miracles; dedication pays off! 2. Proper Form Over Heavy Weight: In my initial post, I mentioned starting with lighter weights and doing more reps if needed. This is so important! Focusing on proper form ensures you're activating the right muscles and avoiding injury. If you're swinging the weights around, you're not getting the full benefit. Watch some quick tutorials online if you're unsure, or even film yourself to check your technique. 3. Progressive Overload (Getting Stronger!): Once those 5, 10, or 15-pound dumbbells start feeling easy, that's your cue to increase the challenge! This is called progressive overload. You can either increase the weight slightly, do more reps, add another set, or even slow down your movements to increase time under tension. This is how you continue to challenge your muscles and see results. 4. Nutrition Matters: You can't out-train a bad diet, right? While you can't 'spot reduce' fat (meaning you can't just lose fat from your arms by only doing arm exercises), a balanced diet helps reduce overall body fat, which in turn will help shrink those 'chicken wings.' Focus on whole foods, lean proteins, fruits, veggies, and healthy fats. It's not about deprivation, but about nourishing your body. 5. Don't Forget Cardio! Incorporating cardiovascular exercise, like brisk walking, jogging, cycling, or dancing, helps burn calories and reduce overall body fat. This complements your strength training perfectly, accelerating your progress in saying goodbye to arm fat. 6. Patience and Persistence: Results don't happen overnight, and that's okay! Be patient with yourself and celebrate small victories. Some days you might feel super motivated, others less so. Just keep showing up. Your body is amazing and will respond to your efforts. Beyond Dumbbells: Other BAT WINGS WORKOUT Options: While my favorite moves use dumbbells, you can also use resistance bands for a great workout, or even just your body weight for exercises like tricep dips or push-ups (modified on your knees if needed). The key is to find what works for you and keeps you motivated! So, if you're asking 'how to get rid of chicken wings,' remember it's a journey! Combine my killer bat wing workout with these extra tips on consistency, form, nutrition, and cardio, and you'll be well on your way to strong, toned arms you'll love to show off. You got this! 💪
