Back in my YOGA ERA

Fun Fact: Hot Yoga is one of my favorite things of all time! I was in hot yoga FAITHFULLY before getting RA.

After my diagnosis, my wrist and ankle (on the left side) were too weak to continue going to yoga. You talk about devastated! Omg I was so sad!

Lately I've REALLY been wanting to get back into yoga but have been afraid because of my balance and ankle still being really weak. The past two weeks I've been telling myself "you really won't know until you at least try" and yesterday my EVERYTHING was so sore (between lifting heavy all week and doing some PT on my ankle ya girl was done for) I decided today was the day.

I was so excited and actually surprised about how well this session went. Now I had to put on Skyzone socks for extra traction 😆 🤣 and the amount of cracking my bones did was comical (I'm sure everything cracked ya'll) but it was still a really good sessions.

My body is a lot less sore too.

Two lessons were learned today..LISTEN TO YOUR BODY...when it tells you to rest...rest...but also stop letting fear stop you. I'm glad I just went for it today because I'm back getting my yogi on...now not everyday but definitely at least once or twice a week FOR NOW lol

RA really took so much away from me ya'll and I'm slowly taking it all back. I love it here !
