The TRUTH about BAT WINGS

So someone commented on my previous post about bat wings saying that bat wings are loose skin and cannot be improved without surgery. I'm sorry but this is false information and very dangerous to tell someone.

Now there are some instances where surgery is necessary but definitely not in my case or lots of other cases.

The "bat wing" is made up of your tricep muscle and that muscle is one of the most neglected in the body. To tone that area you need to be focused on exercises that work your triceps...as well as an overall healthy lifestyle.

This area is also very stubborn and you can't spot reduce fat ANYWHERE so your goal should be overall fat loss.

Now if you were SIGNIFICANTLY larger and lost a lot of weight this is where you may have to consider surgery. The best way I can put it is if you can fold the skin origami or pretzel style then that is loose skin that may need assistance with surgery.

All problem areas take time but surgery is not the only way out ..I know we live in a time of quick fixes but everyone is not comfortable going under the knife and we should really stop pushing that on people.

HAPPY MONDAY THOUGH! Be great this week 🙏🏾

... Read moreI used to feel so self-conscious about my 'bat wings' – that jiggly underarm area. It felt like no matter what I did, they just wouldn't budge. I even started believing those comments that surgery was the only answer, but deep down, I knew there had to be another way! The truth is, for most of us, those 'bat wings' aren't just loose skin. They're often a combination of undertrained triceps muscle and some stubborn fat. And guess what? You absolutely can improve them without going under the knife! It takes consistency and the right approach, but it's totally achievable. When I started focusing on a dedicated BAT WINGS WORKOUT, everything changed. It's not just about lifting light weights for endless reps; it's about challenging your triceps with progressive overload. Always warm up properly before you start, maybe with some arm circles and light stretches. Here are some of my go-to moves: Overhead Triceps Extensions: Grab a dumbbell and extend it overhead. Slowly lower it behind your head, feeling that stretch in your triceps, then press it back up with control. I aim for 3 sets of 10-12 reps, making sure the last few reps are challenging. Triceps Pushdowns (cable machine or resistance band): If you have access to a cable machine, these are amazing. Keep your elbows tucked in and press the bar down, squeezing your triceps at the bottom. If not, a resistance band anchored high works wonders too! Focus on the squeeze for 3 sets of 12-15 reps. Close-Grip Push-ups: These are tough but so effective! Place your hands closer than shoulder-width apart to really target those triceps. Start on your knees if you need to, and work your way up. I try for 3 sets to failure, pushing myself each time. Dips (bench or parallel bars): Whether you're using a sturdy bench or parallel bars, dips are fantastic for building triceps strength. Keep your chest up and shoulders back. Lower yourself until your upper arms are parallel to the floor, then powerfully push back up. Aim for 3 sets of 8-12 reps, or as many as you can do with good form. Remember, a targeted BAT WINGS WORKOUT is just one piece of the puzzle. Overall fat loss plays a huge role. I focused on eating more protein to support muscle growth, drinking plenty of water, and increasing my daily activity – even just walking more makes a difference. You can't spot-reduce fat, but as your overall body fat percentage decreases, those arm areas will naturally lean out and appear more defined. This isn't a quick fix, and that's okay. It took time for those 'bat wings' to develop, and it will take time to tone them. But stick with it! I started seeing noticeable changes after a few months of consistent effort, and it felt so much more empowering than considering surgery. Don't forget to cool down with some gentle stretches after your workout to aid recovery. Celebrate every little victory, and trust the process. You've got this!
