heyyy Monday!
Missed back day last week so this is how I decided to start my week.
I did squeeze in back work on full body Friday but I prefer a dedicated back day.
I don't really have a particular workout schedule or split that I do...I'm more of a go with the vibes [and how my body feels].
With RA, I can plan to have a leg day but could wake up and my ankles are like you are DEFINITELY not doing legs today so that's why I never really have a plan.
That's how it is in fitness in general. You really have to do what makes the most sense for you...as long as you get it done!
So the weights literally ranged from 5-30 pound dumbbells and I did 4 sets of 8-12 bc I always go heavy on back days.
Happy Monday Fam! Let's make is a great week !

Starting your week with a dedicated back day workout is a great way to build strength and resilience. It’s important to listen to your body, especially if you have rheumatoid arthritis (RA) or other conditions that affect joint mobility. Flexibility in your workout schedule allows you to adapt your routine based on how you feel each day. For example, some days your ankles or joints may limit your ability to perform certain exercises, making it necessary to adjust or substitute workouts. A back-focused session with weights ranging from 5 to 30 pounds is effective for targeting different muscle groups, from your lats to your traps. Performing 4 sets of 8-12 reps helps build both endurance and strength, particularly when you go heavy on back days. Incorporating a variety of dumbbell weights allows you to progressively overload muscles safely and gain better muscle activation. Moreover, integrating back day exercises consistently—even if some workouts are part of full-body sessions—helps maintain muscle balance and improves posture. Using hashtags like #backdayworkout and #homeworkout shows the supportive community that thrives on sharing tips and motivation for effective, versatile fitness routines. Lastly, don’t underestimate the psychological boost of starting your week with a focused workout. It sets a positive tone and helps you stay committed, regardless of how your body feels that day. Remember, fitness is personal, and the key to success is what works best for you. Stay committed, adapt as needed, and celebrate every workout milestone.

Dedicated back day is the best! Those dumbbells look light, but I bet you were feeling the burn. 🔥
