Let's get them gone!
If you haven't been around long...just know the hangtime on my arms used to be so real! It's not all the way gone but it's definitely improved A LOT !
Dedicated triceps workouts have really helped them improve...more specifically the LONG head of your triceps. Alot of people skip that part so if haven't been seeing results I would focus on exercises that target that exact area.
I'm not saying you can spot reduce btw...I'm saying by focusing on the long head in addition to cardio and proper diet you will see the best results overall. It's important to not just lose the weight but to tone as you are losing so you don't have a bunch of loose skin.
I used 10, 15, nd 20 pound dumbells and did 4 sets of 8-10 reps for everything.
Hope this helps 🙏
From my personal experience working to reduce 'bat wings,' focusing on the long head of the triceps has made a significant difference. The long head, often overlooked, responds well to targeted exercises like overhead triceps extensions, skull crushers, and close-grip dumbbell presses. I found that switching up my routine to emphasize these movements helped tighten the area under my arms more noticeably than general arm workouts. Using a gradual increase in dumbbell weight, starting at 10 pounds and progressing to 15 and 20 pounds, kept my muscles challenged without risking injury. Doing 4 sets of 8-10 reps allowed me to build strength while maintaining muscle endurance. In addition to focused strength training, incorporating cardio three to four times a week accelerated fat loss, which is crucial since spot reduction is a myth. Diet also played a key role. I paid close attention to consuming enough protein to support muscle recovery and limit loose skin development as I lost fat. Staying hydrated and getting enough sleep helped my skin elasticity. One helpful tip is to mix up your routine every few weeks to keep the muscles adapting. I also recommend patience; improvement takes time but consistency really does pay off. If you’re struggling with bat wings or arm hangtime, targeting the long head of the triceps as part of a balanced fitness and diet plan is the best way I've found to achieve noticeable toning and reduce loose skin.
