It's just something nostalgic about these glute exercises...definitely brings back all the throwback workout home video vibes!!

Ironically enough, I was not the biggest fan of working out at home...I've always preferred the gym but life is simply too busy for this single mama ! But we don't make excuses we find solutions.

I love this set particularly bc you really don't need any equipment...but if you have ankle weights laying around...which I wholeheartedly believe everyone at some point had a pair of ankle weights that are now collecting dust lol...knock that dust off them thangs !!

I did 5 sets of 10 for everything. No idea how much these ankle weights are because I've had them for like 2 decades now 😳 😅 but the weights were 4 pounds [the purple] and 10 pounds!

This is a perfect home workout for anyone! Save for the non gym days !

Even without a gym, a combination of bodyweight exercises such as hip thrusts, glute bridges, donkey kicks, and fire hydrants will activate and strengthen your glute muscles effectively. I found that incorporating ankle weights, if you have them lying around, really boosts the workout intensity and helps engage the muscles more deeply. Ankle weights are often overlooked but provide excellent resistance that can lead to faster strength gains. If you don’t have any, don’t worry—just focus on increasing reps or adding pulses and holds to the movements. The key is consistency and progressively challenging the muscles. I usually aim for 3 to 5 sets of 10 to 15 reps per exercise, resting briefly between sets to keep the muscle engaged. Creating a mini circuit of these exercises not only targets your glutes but also keeps your heart rate up, adding a cardiovascular benefit. Additionally, paying attention to form is crucial for glute workouts. Engaging your core, squeezing your glutes at the peak of each movement, and controlled pacing will maximize results and prevent injury. Lastly, this approach to at-home glute training suits all fitness levels, especially for those balancing busy lives who can’t always get to the gym. With minimal space and equipment, you can build strength and see gains that translate to improved posture, stability, and overall lower-body aesthetics.
