Going to the gym/joining Burn Boot Camp reminded me that taking care of myself isn’t selfish, it’s necessary.
As moms, we pour into everyone else all day long.
If you’re nervous, out of shape, overwhelmed, or doubting yourself like I was, go anyway. Start messy. Start scared. Just start. I promise you won’t regret it.
So thankful for the friends, especially my mom friends, who continue to push me and prove that it can be done. I’m only a few weeks in but hoping to keep this thing going!
When you show up for yourself, your family gets the best version of you too 🩵
Joining a fitness program like Burn Boot Camp can feel intimidating at first, especially as a mom constantly juggling responsibilities. I remember my first day vividly—the nerves, the self-doubt about my fitness level, and wondering if I was up for the challenge. But stepping into the gym marked a turning point. It wasn’t about perfection; it was about progress and showing up for myself. One of the most empowering lessons I've learned is that taking care of yourself directly benefits your whole family. When you invest time in your health and well-being, you bring more energy, patience, and positivity to your loved ones. Burn Boot Camp's supportive community, especially the encouragement from fellow moms, made a big difference. We push each other through the tough days, celebrate the small victories, and hold each other accountable. The workouts are challenging but scalable, so even if you're out of shape or have been inactive for a while, you can start at your own pace. The coaches emphasize proper form, safety, and motivation, minimizing the fear of getting hurt or falling behind. If you're feeling overwhelmed or hesitant like I was, my advice is simple: start messy, start scared, but just start. The initial discomfort fades, replaced by a growing sense of accomplishment and well-being. Make self-care a priority, not a luxury—it’s a vital piece of the puzzle in balancing motherhood and personal health. Over time, this commitment becomes a habit that transforms your daily life and mindset.
