Psalm 15 is a short but rich passage that answers a big question: Who can dwell with God?

Instead of just reading, try turning Scripture into visual lists - it helps the truth sink deeper in your mind and pulls apart scripture without distorting it!

Here’s how I broke it down:

👉 Make two columns: Does & Does Not

🧠 Pull out each action listed in the Psalm

❤️ Reflect on which ones you’re walking in or need God’s help with. Pray about it!

🎯 End with the promise: “He who does these things shall never be moved.” 🙌

... Read moreBeyond just breaking down Psalm 15, I've found that truly engaging with scripture through journaling can bring so much comfort and clarity to daily life. If you're like me, sometimes reading a 'bible verse' feels good, but then it's hard to remember or apply. That's why methods like the 'Does & Does Not' columns for Psalm 15 are so powerful – they make you think and interact with the text. I often get asked about how to start bible journaling, especially when dealing with big emotions like anxiety or searching for joy. While Psalm 15 guides us on how to live to dwell with God, those principles can directly impact our peace of mind. For instance, 'not slandering' or 'not taking a bribe' might seem old-fashioned, but they speak to integrity and honesty, which reduces internal conflict and worry. When I'm feeling overwhelmed or need a boost of joy, I turn to other Psalms too. For example, Psalm 16, which sometimes appears right next to Psalm 15 in my 'open Bible', talks about finding refuge in God and fullness of joy in His presence. It's amazing how interconnected these scriptures are! Or, if I'm specifically looking for 'praise verses in psalms', I might turn to Psalm 100 or Psalm 145. These aren't just words; writing them out, doodling around them, or even just making a simple 'Notes' page like I did for Psalm 15, helps them become part of my heart. For anyone struggling with 'bible verses about anxiety', I've found Philippians 4:6-7 incredibly comforting: 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.' I often pair this with a journaling exercise, writing down my worries and then writing out the verse, followed by a prayer. It’s like 'giving your worries to God' directly on the page! My biggest tip for bible journaling is simply to start. Don't worry about perfect handwriting or elaborate drawings. Just grab an 'open Bible', a notebook, and a pen. Whether you're breaking down a chapter like Psalm 15 or just highlighting a 'bible verse' that speaks to you, the act of engaging personally with the Word makes all the difference. It helps you remember that 'He who does these things shall never be moved,' finding stability and peace in God's promises.
