Good Evening🌌✨☕ night surfers

one from the files to make you think

keep twisting them throttles. . .

Velvet, Steele, Roses

We are a tapestry woven of impossible things,

A delicate balance of anchors and wings.

We were drafted for war before we ever knew peace,

Built for a love that will never quite cease.

We are the paradox of walking, the gentle sunrise,

With the fury of hurricanes locked in our eyes.

Look down at your body, the stories it holds,

Where the skin stretched and silvered as life unfolded.

Society calls them flaws, stripes to erase,

But we know they are maps of glory and grace.

They are battle scars earned on the front lines of birth,

Proof we pulled souls from the stars down to earth.

We broke and expanded, gave all we could give,

The visceral evidence that we truly live.

But what of the wounds that the light never catches?

The invisible burns and the sorrowful scratches.

The weight of the worry that sits on the chest,

The intrusive thoughts that disturbed needed rest.

We carry the trauma, the doubt, and the fear,

Then put on a smile so the children don’t hear.

We hold space for others’ emotions to bleed,

While planting our own resilience like seed.

And this is the miracle, the reason we rise:

The sheer grit hidden behind tired eyes.

We are gentle enough to kiss a skinned knee,

And fierce enough to set a whole army free.

We show up when empty, we pour from dry cups,

We are the masters of the infinite "ups."

So look in the mirror, past the messy hair bun,

And see what you’ve weathered, and see what you’ve done.

You are velvet wrapped tightly around solid steel,

Allowing yourself permission to feel, then to heal.

No cape on your shoulders, no stage, no guitar,

But make no mistake, you are a fucking rockstar.
