It sounds like you had an absolutely incredible birthday getaway to Aruba! I totally get that feeling of needing a dreamy escape, especially after having a baby â it's like a whole new level of well-deserved relaxation. Since you loved the ATV tours and cave swimming, I wanted to share a few more tips for anyone else dreaming of an Aruba adventure. For those considering an ATV tour, remember to book in advance, especially during peak season! There are several options, from guided tours exploring the rugged Arikok National Park to self-guided rentals. While it's super exhilarating, definitely wear closed-toe shoes and bring a bandana or scarf to cover your mouth and nose from the dust â trust me on this! And yes, sometimes little bumps happen, but as you said, YOLO! The natural pools and dramatic coastlines you can reach by ATV are truly breathtaking and worth every moment. When it comes to cave swimming, Aruba's got some hidden gems. Konchi and Guadirikiri Caves are popular, but there are also smaller, less-known grottoes to discover. Always go with a guide if you're exploring off the beaten path, and bring water shoes for comfort and safety. The feeling of swimming in those cool, clear cave waters, with light filtering in from above, is just magical. Itâs a unique experience that truly connects you with the island's natural beauty. And let's talk food! You mentioned Passions on the Beach and Lola's â both fantastic choices. Passions is famous for its romantic dinner right on the sand at sunset, which is an absolute must-do for a special occasion. For Lola's, their tacos are indeed legendary! If you're looking for other culinary delights, don't miss out on trying some local fresh seafood at a spot like Zeerovers, or indulge in some delicious Dutch-Caribbean fusion. And for that essential morning kick, you'll find charming cafes all over the island where you can grab a 'BUT FIRST COFFEE' moment before hitting the beach. Aruba truly is this wonderful blend of serene beaches and exciting adventures. It's safe, friendly, and absolutely perfect for a relaxing yet fun trip. Thinking about traveling internationally after having a baby can feel daunting, but your experience shows it's totally doable and incredibly rewarding. Just remember to pack light, stay hydrated, and embrace the 'One Happy Island' vibe. Iâm already dreaming of my next visit, just like you!
