私は以前、大分県佐伯市を訪れた際に、『海の市場〇』で地元ならではの新鮮な魚介類を味わったことがあります。ここではその日水揚げされたばかりの魚介や特産品が手に入り、地元の人たちの活気も感じられて、とても楽しかったです。 また、2026年新しくオープンした「うなぎの駅 佐伯店」は単なる飲食店ではなく、お弁当やお惣菜、お土産も豊富に揃っており、佐伯のうなぎ文化を手軽に楽しめるスポットとして話題になっていました。私もここのうなぎ弁当を購入し、ふっくらとした味わいに感動しました。 さらに『なかまち商店街』のレトロな雰囲気は昔ながらの素朴さを感じられましたが、閉店しているお店もあり、少し寂しい印象も受けました。それでも歴史の息吹を感じられる場所として歩く価値があります。 佐伯の『歴史と文学の道』は城下町の面影が色濃く残り、ゆっくり散策すれば地元の歴史や文化への理解が深まります。私も訪問時に、ゆったりとした空気の中で史跡巡りを楽しみました。 また、『麹の杜』では甘酒工場の見学や試飲ができ、伝統的な発酵食品の魅力に触れることができるので、観光の新たな楽しみ方としておすすめです。 佐伯市は海の幸が豊富でグルメも楽しめる上、歴史や文化にも深みがあるため、観光スポットとして見どころが多いことを実感しました。私の体験を参考に、皆さんもぜひ佐伯に足を運んで魅力を発見してみてください。
