Double Eliminations for the Collection🏆
Hey everyone! I know we all want to rack up those eliminations in Fortnite, especially when there are cool 'Collection' goals or event challenges like the #fortnitegalacticbattle going on. After countless matches, I've gathered some personal strategies that have really helped me secure those 'Double Eliminations' and push for 'VICTORY'. It’s not just about aiming; it’s about smart play and a bit of patience! First off, my landing spot strategy has evolved. I used to drop into super hot zones hoping for early action, but often got eliminated fast without even a decent weapon. Now, I prefer slightly less contested spots that still offer good loot density. This lets me gear up properly, grab some shields, and feel ready before engaging. If I can find a decent shotgun and an AR, I feel much more confident. My personal favorite, if available, is a spot near a 'ROVALE' or a landmark that typically has good chest spawns but isn't a magnet for half the lobby. Getting a solid early game is foundational for accumulating elims. Once I'm geared, my focus shifts to understanding the flow of the storm and player movement. Instead of blindly running towards gunshots, I try to predict where players will rotate and set myself up for an advantage. High ground is almost always key! Even a small build can give you an edge in a skirmish. I've found that being patient and letting others engage first often allows me to 'third-party' fights, turning a single elimination opportunity into a 'Double Elimination' with less effort. Sometimes, just observing for a minute can reveal the perfect moment to strike. Loadout optimization is another massive factor. I always make sure to carry a close-range weapon (shotgun or SMG), a mid-to-long-range weapon (AR or sniper), and some healing items (minis, big pots, med-kits). Mobility items are an absolute lifesaver for repositioning, escaping tricky situations, or even quickly closing the gap on a weakened opponent. Don't be afraid to experiment with different weapons to find what clicks for your playstyle. For instance, in the current season, I've found certain long-range weapons to be particularly effective against characters like General Grievous if he's an NPC boss, allowing me to chip away at his health from a safe distance before moving in for the final blow. When it comes to actual combat, practice your building and editing religiously. Even simple edits can give you a massive advantage. I’m certainly not a pro builder, but learning a few quick edits, like instantly putting a cone above an enemy or editing a wall for a quick shot, has dramatically improved my combat effectiveness. It’s all about creating angles, protecting yourself, and disorienting your opponent. Don't forget peek shots! Just a quick edit, fire, and reset can win you fights. Finally, staying calm under pressure is absolutely crucial. It’s easy to panic when you're being pushed by multiple enemies or suddenly find yourself in a disadvantageous position. But taking a deep breath, assessing the situation, and focusing on one enemy at a time can make all the difference. Sometimes, just retreating to heal and re-engage from a better position is the smartest move. After a particularly intense 'Double Elimination' sequence that leads to a 'VICTORY ROYALE', there's nothing more satisfying than hitting one of my favorite 'LOCKER EMOTES - SERENI-TEA' to celebrate the hard-earned win! Remember, every match is a chance to learn and improve your game sense. Keep dropping in, keep fighting, and those eliminations will stack up faster than you think!
