Tried on a few spring dresses at target 🌷
Some were so cute!! just not for my body type
for reference i’m 5’7” 145 lbs wearing a medium
I tend to be smaller on top & curvier on the bottom, so fit can be tricky sometimes..especially for dresses, skirts, and jeans!!
thanks for coming shopping with me 🫶🏻

Shopping for spring dresses can be both exciting and challenging, especially when your body shape doesn't always align with standard sizing. I personally find that stores like Target offer a wide variety of cute styles, but finding the perfect fit means considering your unique proportions—like being smaller on top and curvier on the bottom. When trying on dresses, pay attention to how the garment fits around your waist and hips without feeling too tight or loose. Sometimes a dress that looks great on the hanger may be too short or not highlight your curves appropriately. For example, dresses that are too short can be uncomfortable if you're on the taller side, around 5'7", as in my case. Trying different colors and styles is key, as some fabrics and cuts can flatter curvier silhouettes more. One helpful tip is to look for dresses with some stretch or that cinch at the waist to accentuate your shape. A-line dresses or wrap styles often work well for a bottom-heavy figure since they flow over the hips while fitting snugly on top. Also, don't hesitate to try on multiple sizes—the number on the tag doesn’t always reflect how well it fits your body. Target's spring collection includes affordable options that mix style and comfort, making it easier to experiment without breaking the bank. For shoppers with similar body types, investing time in trying on several styles can lead to pieces that truly complement your figure and keep you feeling confident. Remember, fashion is about what makes you feel good, so enjoy the process and don’t get discouraged by a few 'no’s'—there are plenty of 'yes’s' waiting to be found!
