Decoden craft supplies and ideas
If you have seen the videos of someone decorating a phone case with glue and charms, you may be interested in trying the craft! It’s easier than it may seem.
1. Check out Temu or Amazon for charms. I ordered on Temu because they had so many options for a lower price. Try searching decoden charms or decoden glue. The glue I bought in many different colors but we only used 3. Even though we used a lot, there was still some leftover in our bags. The glue will come in a piping bag like you would use for cake decorating. It will also come with an extra bag and a piping tip to use.
2. When looking for items to decorate, try looking at the thrift store or dollar tree! I really wanted to find a simple jewelry box to decorate the top of but never found one. The handheld mirror came from dollar tree and the frames I got at a thrift store for a dollar each.
3. Once you’re ready to get started, decide where you want the charms to go before apply the glue. The glue start to dry fast, but it takes 24 hours for it to completely harden! The glue easily rubs off your hands so don’t worry about getting a little bit on you. It almost rubs off similar to fabric paint if you have ever gotten that on your skin.
This was such a fun craft and I love our different styles when it came to decorating! This craft seemed scary going into it but it was actually so easy. I still have soooo many charms and glue so once I find more items to decorate I will definitely be doing this again!
