Show me your craft and I’ll show you mine✨

Use this post to show off your crafts from over the years! I want to see everything that you’ve been proud to create. Items you’ve made as a gift or you made for yourself! I want to see it allll the good, the bad, the unfinished, the prize pieces

I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember and it’s one of my favorite things to do. I remember making foam bookmarks with my aunt as a little girl. I used to have sooo many supplies to make the loom bracelets and we would trade them in school. When duct tape crafts were popular, my friends and I would spend so much time making things together. In the more recent years I’ve learned how to paint squishies from Moriah Elizabeth. Ive been learning to sew but I also do other things with fabric like cutting them into strips to make wreaths or hand sewing liners for crochet projects. The newest thing I’ve learned to do is embroidery and I want to expand on that and maybe upcycle thrift clothes.

I have more crafts that I wanted to share, buuuut I’m limited only 10 pictures lol. Have you made any of these crafts? Do you do a craft you think I’d be interested in? Let me know! Let’s start talking all things crafty🫶🏻

... Read moreCrafting is more than just a hobby; it’s a journey of creativity and self-expression that often evolves over the years. Your story about making foam bookmarks as a child and progressing to embroidery and upcycling thrift clothes is a wonderful example of how crafting can grow with you. Many crafters find joy in experimenting with different materials and techniques, from beadwork and candle making to tie dyeing and using cutting machines like Cricut for iron-on decals. One popular crafting trend is the art of embroidery, which has been embraced by makers of all ages for its versatility and therapeutic qualities. By choosing color palettes thoughtfully and practicing various stitches, you can personalize garments, accessories, or home décor. Pairing embroidery with upcycling transforms thrift clothes into unique statement pieces, blending sustainability with artistry. Another favorite among DIY enthusiasts is creating fun, seasonal items like pompoms for hair accessories or customizing T-shirts with tie-dye and decals. These crafts not only make great gifts but also foster a sense of community when shared or swapped among friends. Using tools like Cricut machines allows for precise customization and opens up opportunities for crafting at scale, including selling handmade items. If you enjoy sewing, try integrating it with other crafts by making wreaths from fabric strips or hand sewing liners for crochet projects. These combination techniques enrich your skills and add depth to your creations. Sharing your progress, including unfinished or 'work in progress' pieces, helps connect with others who appreciate the creative process just as much as the finished product. This space encourages everyone to post both their successes and experiments, creating a supportive environment to inspire and motivate each other. So whether you’re a seasoned craftswoman or just starting out, keep sharing your projects, asking for advice, and exploring new DIY gift ideas and crafting methods. The possibilities in the crafting world are endless, and each creation tells a story worth celebrating.
