Do you add a lining to your crochet bags?

Today I am FINALLLLY getting around to adding liners to my crochet bags. I don’t do this often so I always put it off because I get nervous about messing it up! Recently I lined a book pouch and decided to use embroidery thread instead of sewing thread and I found it to be less daunting! I’ve never used my sewing machine because I feel as if the yarn would get caught in the machine.

If you want to see the result of the book pouch I can definitely share it in the comments, but I’m curious if other crocheters add linings to their bags? What methods do you use to sew it together?
