The struggles of being 21

Growing up, I couldnโ€™t wait to be an adult. Last year I turned 21 and I am having a hard time finding myself. I have no hobbies, no friends and no interest in anything . I wake up every day, confused on what to do with my life . Half of the people I know are either married, and having babies or in college working towards what they want to do in their lives . For me, I work six days a week during the summer and 3 1/2 days during the w something I donโ€™t hate but one I feel stuck at . No goals no hobbies and no motivation. I canโ€™t help but feel like I am in some sort of limbo. Where I feel like I am floating throughout life. My anxiety has gradually increased throughout the last year because even tho 21 isnโ€™t old I feel like I am behind in life . So if you feel like this just know you are not alone.

Many young adults may feel pressure as friends begin to settle down, while you might still be searching for a sense of purpose. It's important to remember that this phase is normal, and you're not alone in these feelings. Exploring new hobbies is one way to combat feelings of being lost. Engaging in creative activities such as painting, writing, or cooking can inspire you and lead to new interests and friendships. Moreover, finding communities or groups that focus on your potential hobbies, whether through local meetups or online platforms, can help you connect with like-minded individuals. Consider taking classes or workshops to boost your skills and gain new perspectives. Additionally, practicing mindfulness and setting small, achievable goals can gradually improve your mindset and motivation. Journaling your thoughts and feelings can help clarify your objectives and aspirations. Remember, everyone's journey is different, and it's perfectly okay to take your time to discover what truly fulfills you professionally and personally. Lastly, donโ€™t hesitate to seek support from friends or professionals if feelings of anxiety persist. Connecting with a counselor or joining a supportive community can provide valuable tools to navigate this disorienting time. You are moving forward, even if it feels slow; just keep exploring and pursuing what intrigues you.
