Many people grow up knowing about God through stories, sermons, and songs, but they might never actually experience His nearness. From personal experience, I’ve found that moving from just knowing about God to truly knowing Him is life-changing. It’s not about accumulating religious facts or verses memorized but about encountering His presence daily. The Holy Spirit plays a vital role in this transformation. Rather than merely filling our minds with information, the Spirit invites us into a genuine relationship—a walk with God where we sense His guidance, love, and peace. I noticed that when I stopped focusing on just learning about God and started seeking His presence, my life felt more fulfilled and purposeful. One practical tip that helped me was setting aside regular quiet times, not for study alone, but for listening and praying, inviting God to speak and reveal Himself. I also learned that God desires to be known personally and intimately, not just as a distant idea or concept. The scripture in Acts 17:23 reminds us not to be satisfied with knowing about God from what others say, but to seek to know Him directly. This journey may involve moments of doubt or waiting, but it leads to a transformed heart and a deeper peace than I had ever experienced before. For anyone reading this, my encouragement is: don’t remain content with secondhand knowledge or spiritual hearsay. Pursue a living relationship with God. Let the Holy Spirit reveal God’s voice to you and walk closely with Him daily. It is a deeply enriching experience that brings ongoing joy, hope, and transformation.
