The amount of times I got made fun of at school or by normies or older people is unreal…. But that was when I was younger but I do believe it’s alot more socially accepted now and even cool to a certain extent to normies but I still get so anxious when someone finds out I cosplay… 😬🤲

... Read moreAs someone who has experienced both the teasing and evolving acceptance around cosplay, I've realized how cultural perceptions shift over time. Initially, being labeled an outsider or a 'weirdo' by normies was incredibly isolating. Many people didn't understand the passion behind cosplay, assuming it was just dressing up or childish. However, I've noticed more and more that cosplay is now embraced and celebrated in mainstream culture. Events like conventions and social media have created spaces where cosplayers and normies interact positively, fostering respect and curiosity. Despite this progress, I still feel a bit anxious when people discover my cosplay hobby. It's not just about the fear of being mocked anymore—it’s about wanting to be taken seriously and avoiding stereotypes. My colored hair and costumes still sometimes attract surprising reactions, but I’m learning to own my identity and share what cosplay means to me: creativity, community, and self-expression. For anyone feeling hesitant, I encourage trying to connect with local cosplay groups or online communities. They provide support and advice to overcome the anxiety around sharing this part of yourself. Remember, cosplay is a vibrant art form and passion—it deserves to be appreciated without judgment.

Review of The Art Of Spending Money
During a recent meet-up with Samuel, our alumni and Community Lead at TJI, he handed us a copy of The Art of Spending Money by Morgan Housel. 💰 Turns out — it’s not really a book about money. It’s about life. About values. About the quiet stories we tell ourselves every time we spend. 🗣️ 💡 Af

For me, I spend $836/month on food, just for myself. Sounds extravagant right? But here's what I've learned about money that many don’t talk about: Good budgeting isn't about spending less. It's about spending right. Think about it: 🚗 Some people grab a cab every day, becaus

All these photos were taken in the second half of 2024. Every day feels different. Some days feel light, most days we’re trying and fighting our might for our plight. This has been my story for the past 11 years. And this is the first time I’m facing myself so honestly. Showing up to the world so p

What 50/50 Really Means in a Relationship
I thought 50/50 meant splitting everything. Turns out, I was wrong. It’s really about sharing the load, not the bills. When both of you put in effort, money stops being the issue. Have you ever felt this in your relationship?
