I found that adding leftover meats like ground beef or sausage to simple greens creates a dynamic, satisfying meal that keeps me energized throughout the day. Slow cooking these proteins with the right seasoning really makes the flavors shine and helps the dish sit well with your body. Using fresh greens as a base not only boosts the nutritional value but also provides a refreshing contrast to the rich, savory meats. This balance is crucial, especially if you’re working towards fitness goals like losing weight or building a summer-ready body. I usually prep these components in advance, so when hunger strikes, it’s quick to assemble, reducing the temptation to order less healthy options. Incorporating leftovers creatively also reduces food waste, making your meal prep sustainable and budget-friendly. Whether it’s a simple Cobb chicken salad one day or a seasoned ground beef and greens combination the next, switching things up keeps me motivated and prevents meal fatigue. Plus, embracing all kinds of meals — salads or heartier dishes — helps maintain a healthy relationship with food without feeling restricted or bored.

What’s in my greens: • H-E-B Natural Angus Ground Beef (80/20) • Zummo Sausage • H-E-B Mixed Fresh Greens • Red bell pepper • Fresh parsley 🧂 Seasoning: • Onion powder • Garlic powder • Chicken bouillon • San Francisco sea salt • Ground white pepper • Kraft salt mix 👩🏽‍🍳 How I make it: 1. Brown ground beef + sausage together 2. Add chopped peppers + parsley 3. Add greens and let them cook down 4. Season WELL (don’t be shy 😌) 5. Let it slow cook until tender + flavorful This not just food… this is a whole experience 😮‍🔥 If you know, YOU KNOW 👀 Save, share, let me know what you think after you make it🙌🏾
