Carnivore day 17

... Read moreAfter being on the carnivore diet for over two weeks, I completely understand how eating similar meals every day can become monotonous. A typical day on day 17 might include eggs and bacon for breakfast, ground beef or hotdogs for lunch, and snacks such as grass-fed beef sticks (like Chomps) to keep protein intake steady. These items are convenient but can start to feel uninspiring. To keep motivation high, I found it helpful to experiment with different cuts and cooking methods. For example, instead of just frying bacon, try baking it for a different texture or seasoning your ground beef with herbs like thyme or smoked paprika (if your version of the carnivore diet permits). Incorporating variety in fat sources—like using tallow or butter to cook—can subtly change the flavor profile of your meals. Electrolyte balance is also crucial, especially when transitioning to such a restrictive diet. Drinking an electrolyte mix containing sodium, potassium, and magnesium helps prevent fatigue and brain fog. A simple homemade electrolyte drink with purified water and salt can make a big difference in staying refreshed and focused. Snacking smartly is another strategy I embraced. Mini beef sticks provide a quick, portable protein source that fits perfectly within the carnivore framework. Choosing grass-fed or finished products improves nutrient density and flavor quality. Ultimately, the key to thriving on day 17 of the carnivore diet is embracing small changes to prevent boredom and supporting your body’s needs with sufficient electrolytes and protein variety. Sharing experiences like these can encourage others on similar paths to push through and find what works best for their palate and wellbeing.
