Path to Twitch Affiliate
I reached affiliate in under 2 months back in 2021 and there are some things that I would have done differently if I were to start my streaming journey all over again.
This milestone is not a race nor should you focus too hard on hitting affiliate. It is such a wonderful goal, but please remember that streaming is not just about numbers. Streaming should fun and will be a long lasting impact when you are taking care of yourself and not burning yourself out too early. Give yourself time and patience and you will reach it!

Becoming a Twitch Affiliate requires more than hitting the basic milestones of 25 followers, streaming for four hours over four different days, and maintaining an average of three viewers. From my experience, building a supportive community is crucial. Join Discord servers related to your niche and engage authentically rather than just self-promoting. It helped me connect with other streamers and grow genuine relationships. Also, consistently reviewing your past streams by watching your VODs can reveal important details about your stream quality and audience engagement. Don't hesitate to improve technical aspects like audio and video and test different content styles to see what resonates best. Another tip is to leverage platforms outside Twitch. Posting your clips on social media channels significantly boosted my discoverability, as Twitch's algorithm is limited in surfacing smaller channels. Engaging with your audience on these platforms keeps momentum going between streams. Finally, Twitch offers many benefits once you become an affiliate, such as monetization options with subscriptions, bits, and ad revenue, as well as enhanced community tools and video features. Keep these perks in mind to stay motivated and build a sustainable streaming career. Remember, reaching affiliate status is a valuable milestone but don't rush it—focus on enjoying your streaming journey and growing steadily over time.

I may try to stream on twitch, I used to on TikTok but I hadn’t had the time.
