“Are you new here?” Yeah!

So glad you're here to get to know me a little better! As I mentioned, I'm Katie, and yes, you can definitely call me Kat if you want to earn those bonus points! It’s been a journey, but I’m really embracing this chapter in my early 30s where I’m finally figuring out what truly lights me up. For years, I felt like I was just going through the motions, but becoming a mom to Riden and navigating life with my wonderful husband, Josh, has really shifted my perspective. It’s given me the push to explore my creative side and step into this 'digital creator' space here on Lemon8. Speaking of my amazing family, Josh and I have been married for four years now, but our story goes way back – twelve years in total! He’s truly my best friend, and we have so much fun together, even when we’re just trying to keep up with our energetic three-year-old, Riden. He’s such a little character, always making us laugh with his funny faces and endless curiosity. And let's not forget the furry members of our household: our two hilarious cats, Chubbs and Theo. They bring so much joy (and occasional chaos!) to our home. One of the biggest things I'm excited to share more about is my journey in rediscovering my passions. It's not always easy when you're juggling family life, but I've found so much joy in diving into things like cozy games – think Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley – and getting lost in a good book. My 'Things I Love' list is pretty eclectic, from my morning coffee ritual to changing up my hair color on a whim. I'm also really into true crime podcasts (anyone else?), and I find a strange satisfaction in resume writing, actually! It's rewarding to help people put their best foot forward. I'm hoping to use this space to share glimpses into our family adventures, my latest reads, makeup finds, and maybe even some tips on embracing your own passions, whether it's four-leaf clover hunting (a surprisingly fun hobby!) or just finding time for yourself. I'm not an expert in everything, but I love sharing what I've learned and what brings me happiness. Expect honest chats, some pop punk throwbacks, and lots of everyday life.
