2026 has provided an abundance of hidden work.
I’ve cried. I’ve prayed. I’ve stared at walls. Eventually I started laughing because the plot became objectively ridiculous.Plot twists. An almost disrespectful amount of irony. We officially reached telenovela territory when someone faked their own death.
At some point you have to accept that you do not control the writers’ room. You control what you do with the scene you’ve been handed.
So make dinner.
Raise your kids.
Tell the truth.
Keep your word.
Forgive when you’re called to forgive.
Do the next right thing when absolutely nobody is clapping.
That’s the hidden work.
And almost nobody sees it.
God does.
The ordinary obedience. The restraint. The getting up tomorrow and doing it again while circumstances continue behaving like raccoons with a caffeine problem. None of it is wasted.
