Mini golden doodle

Hey everyone! So many of you have asked about my adorable furball, Ravioli Pepperoni, and whether she's a teacup golden doodle. She's actually a mini golden doodle, but honestly, her tiny size and huge personality make her feel like a little teacup companion! When I first started looking for a golden doodle, I was captivated by the idea of a 'teacup' size, but quickly learned that 'mini' is a more common and often healthier term for these smaller doodles. True 'teacup' sizes can sometimes come with health risks due to extreme breeding for size, so it's always something to be cautious about and discuss with a reputable breeder. Ravioli fits perfectly into that mini category, typically weighing between 15-30 pounds when fully grown. She’s small enough to cuddle on the couch without taking up all the space, but sturdy enough for adventures at the park. Her little paws leave the cutest tiny prints everywhere, especially after a muddy walk! Life with Ravioli is never dull. She has the sweetest temperament – always eager to play, incredibly smart, and surprisingly easy to train. We've mastered 'sit,' 'stay,' and even a few fun tricks. Her intelligence definitely makes up for her small stature! One thing about mini golden doodles is their energy; don't let their size fool you! They still need regular walks and playtime to stay happy and healthy. We love our daily strolls where she gets to explore, sniffing out new scents and leaving those adorable little paw prints in the dirt. Even though she's small, she can keep up with the best of them, and loves a good game of fetch in the backyard. Caring for a mini golden doodle like Ravioli is similar to larger doodles, but with a few unique considerations. Grooming is essential to keep her fluffy, low-shedding coat from matting. I brush her almost daily and take her to the groomer every 6-8 weeks for a trim, which helps keep her looking like a little teddy bear. Her tiny teeth also need regular care, so we have a routine for brushing them and giving her dental chews. Finding the right-sized accessories, like harnesses, collars, and even dog beds, was a fun challenge at first. You want something secure for their small frame but also comfortable. She has a favorite cozy bed that perfectly cradles her, making her look even smaller! Beyond the practicalities, the joy Ravioli brings to my life is immeasurable. She's incredibly affectionate, always wanting to be close by, whether it's snuggling on the couch during a movie or greeting me with enthusiastic tail wags at the door. Her playful antics and expressive eyes never fail to make me smile. She's fantastic with kids and other pets, making her a wonderful family companion. For anyone considering a 'teacup' or mini golden doodle, I highly recommend doing your research on breeders to ensure you're getting a healthy pup. Ask about health clearances, parentage, and visit the facility if possible. Understand their energy levels and grooming needs – they're a commitment, but an incredibly rewarding one.
