Random French Phrases
I have a love/hate relationship with Duolingo. I don’t think it’s a great app to build fundamentals of a language on. However I do think it is a great resource for learners who know a bit more & use it as a maintenance app.
Learning French can be a rewarding but challenging experience. Many learners turn to apps like Duolingo as a starting point, but it’s essential to supplement this with real-life practice. Some key French phrases to begin with include 'Bonjour' (Hello), 'Merci' (Thank you), and ‘Comment ça va?' (How are you?). As you progress, delve into more complex phrases like 'Il a un visage intéressant' (He has an interesting face) and 'Elle est ennuyeuse' (She is boring). Mastering these phrases not only improves your vocabulary but also boosts your confidence in conversations. Engaging with native speakers or joining language exchange groups can further enhance your learning, providing context and cultural insights that apps alone may not offer. Remember, the goal is to make your language learning journey enjoyable and effective!

I agree! I had formal Japanese lessons to prep for my trip to Japan. But when I tell you that “Getting around the train station” section and “shopping” section of Duolingo helped me so much!
