My fiancé is always asking for my blue smoothie so we have it on repeat in our house! It’s so simple and refreshing, it truly does feel like bliss while enjoying this smoothie on a sunny day ☀️

You just need these 4 Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup frozen banana

• 1/2 cup frozen pineapple

• 2 cups coconut water

• 1 tsp blue spirulina powder (I use the Kos brand but any will do, just make sure it specifies blue)

Optional: Add 1/4 cup ice

Blue Spirulina doesn’t just make your smoothie super pretty—It’s packed with antioxidants and essential nutrients!! Hope your love this blue bliss smoothie as much as we do 🩵

... Read moreMy Blue Bliss Spirulina Smoothie has become a staple in our household for its incredible flavor and vibrant color, but there's so much more you can do to make it truly your own and elevate the experience! If you're looking to turn this refreshing drink into a more substantial and aesthetically pleasing meal, making a smoothie bowl is definitely the way to go! To achieve that perfect scoopable consistency, I recommend reducing the coconut water to about 1 to 1.5 cups, or even less if you want it super thick. Increase your frozen banana chunks and frozen pineapple chunks slightly to ensure a creamy, cold base. Once blended until smooth (my blending for 30 seconds rule still applies!), pour it into a wide bowl. Now comes the fun part: toppings! I love adding a sprinkle of crunchy granola, fresh berries (blueberries or raspberries work wonderfully for a spirulina berry smoothie twist, matching the blue theme), sliced kiwi, or a scattering of shredded coconut. It transforms your simple blue spirulina pineapple smoothie into a gorgeous, satisfying breakfast or snack that perfectly addresses the blue spirulina smoothie bowl trend. Beyond just making it a bowl, presentation truly enhances the blue spirulina smoothie aesthetic. To capture that stunning look from the images, serve your smoothie in a clear mason jar or a chic blue spirulina smoothie glass. A simple pineapple wedge perched on the rim and a fun green straw instantly elevate it from an everyday drink to a special treat. It’s amazing how a few small touches can make your blue bliss drink feel like something straight out of a tropical café. Let’s talk a bit more about the powerhouse ingredient: blue spirulina powder. While it gives us that captivating blue hue, it's also a nutritional superstar. Beyond its antioxidant properties, blue spirulina is known to support detoxification, boost energy, and contribute to overall wellness, including gut health. The coconut water isn't just a liquid base; it's a fantastic natural source of electrolytes, keeping you hydrated and feeling refreshed, especially on a warm day. And the sliced frozen banana and frozen pineapple chunks provide not just natural sweetness and creaminess, but also essential vitamins and fiber. While my recipe is a favorite, don't be afraid to experiment! If you're out of pineapple, mango makes a great substitute, or you could explore a banana spirulina smoothie with a hint of vanilla for a different flavor profile. The key is to start with quality ingredients. Knowing that this deliciousness comes in at around 175 calories per serving also makes it an even more guilt-free indulgence. Whether you enjoy it as a vibrant drink or a hearty spirulina smoothie bowl blue, this recipe is designed to bring a little bit of bliss to your day!
