What’s your curse? 👇🏾
Many of us can relate to the feeling of saying "it's fine" when deep down, it's anything but fine. This phrase has become almost an automatic response when we want to avoid conflict, hide our pain, or simply keep the peace. From my personal experience, using "it's fine" as a defense mechanism often leads to bottled-up emotions that eventually overwhelm us. I’ve noticed that this habit stems from a desire to appear strong or to not burden others with our problems. But in reality, constantly masking our true feelings can create a cycle of loneliness and misunderstanding. Instead, learning to identify the moments when we're tempted to say "it's fine" and choosing to be honest can be liberating. Opening up about your real feelings—even if it’s just to a close friend or in a journal—helps foster genuine connections and improves mental well-being. It’s okay not to be okay, and admitting that can be the first step toward healing. Next time you catch yourself saying "it's fine," take a moment to check in with yourself and consider what you really need. Sometimes, just expressing that vulnerability can be the cure to the curse.
