Officially on my 6th year as an Aussie in New York and the sun setting at 4pm is hitting me 😵💫🇦🇺➡️🗽
Seasonal depression hit me like a rogue magpie and we have no trip planned to Aus this January.
Instead of spiralling here’s how I’m surviving SAD (slightly unhinged but effective):
🔥 Infrared saunas (cosplaying as the Australian sun)
🏃♀️ Daily exercise or I lose the plot
📖 A good book = emotional support object
💊 Vitamins D3 + K2 because science
⏰ Hatch New York alarm clock to gaslight myself into thinking it’s summer
Anyway if you see me power-walking Manhattan pretending it’s Bondi, mind your business. Spring is coming. I think. ☀️😮💨
