10 months ago, I evaluated my migraine remedy choices over the past 9 years, and on a scale of 1 - 10, I was a 3.
It was really hard to admit this to myself, but if you asked my holistic health friends, they wouldn’t be surprised.
I was struggling with migraines that started out of the blue and horrible periods, but didn’t want to face the truth. However, I finally had enough.
I did some research and I started a new daily routine to assist with supporting my hormones, as I was determined to end my 280-day migraine.
I committed to being at least a 6 by now, and while not perfect, I’ve exceeded my expectations by only having 1 or 2 migraines a month instead of every day. Thus my 8 score!
Trust me, if you are courageous enough to evaluate yourself as I did…it just might be a major pivot in your life.
Drop your number (1-10) below or share privately with me if you’d like some support in making a pivot.
And let me know if you’d be interested in learning what I did. Could use the support and accountability. Cheers! Katelyn

... Read moreMigraines can profoundly impact quality of life, especially when combined with hormonal issues such as severe menstrual cycles. Many individuals struggle for years, trying various remedies with limited success. However, recent research highlights the importance of addressing hormonal imbalances as a key factor in reducing migraine frequency and severity.
Hormonal fluctuations, especially those involving estrogen and progesterone, are well-known migraine triggers for many people. Supporting hormone balance through lifestyle changes, dietary adjustments, and targeted supplements may help mitigate these effects. Common approaches include incorporating magnesium and vitamin B2 supplements, managing stress via mindfulness or yoga, and ensuring sufficient hydration and sleep.
Tracking migraines and related symptoms with apps or journals can provide valuable insights into patterns and triggers. Identifying personal migraine triggers such as certain foods, environmental factors, or hormonal changes allows for more effective management strategies.
A holistic approach that combines medical consultation, hormone support, lifestyle modifications, and stress management often yields the best results. Collaborating with healthcare providers specializing in neurology or hormone health ensures personalized and safe interventions.
Ultimately, self-assessment and a willingness to pivot are crucial. Setting realistic goals, such as reducing migraine frequency from daily to a couple of times per month, represents meaningful progress. Community support and accountability also enhance motivation and adherence to new routines.
The shared experience of reducing migraines through hormone support underscores how understanding and addressing underlying causes—not just symptoms—can lead to sustained relief and a better quality of life.
