WHY I DON’T USE DRYER SHEETS
Dryer sheets, can damage your clothes, dryer, and overall health. They contain chemicals that can damage fabrics, especially synthetic materials, it can make towels less absorbent, make your athletic gear less moisture-wicking, and reduce the flame resistance of some children's sleepwear. Dryer sheets also leave residue that can build up in your dryer, reducing its efficiency and potentially causing fire hazards. The single-use nature of dryer sheets contributes to environmental waste.
What I use instead?
Dryer balls help to fluff clothes and reduce static, you can also drop essential oils onto dryer balls!
vinegar and baking soda are natural fabric softeners!
If I want a little extra scent added to the laundry I’ll spritz 2-3 sprays of body spray into the dryer, but I rarely do that

Dryer sheets are a staple in many households, but they can pose significant risks to both your clothes and health. These sheets often contain harmful chemicals that not only affect the lifespan of fabrics but also reduce their effectiveness. For instance, they can decrease the absorbency of towels and impair the moisture-wicking properties of athletic wear. Additionally, dryer sheets can leave behind a residue that clogs dryers, potentially causing efficiency issues and fire hazards. To minimize environmental impact and enhance the longevity of your wardrobe, consider switching to more sustainable alternatives. Dryer balls, for instance, help fluff clothes and reduce static cling without introducing harmful substances. They can even be infused with essential oils for a natural fragrance. Moreover, using natural ingredients such as vinegar and baking soda as fabric softeners can be extremely effective and eco-friendly. If you prefer a bit of scent in your laundry, a few sprays of body spray applied directly to your clothes before drying can provide a pleasant aroma without the drawbacks of traditional dryer sheets. By making these simple swaps, you can maintain fresh-smelling laundry while protecting your health and the environment. Embracing these alternatives not only simplifies your laundry routine but also contributes to a more sustainable lifestyle.

I cut my dryer sheets into fourths. I have not found anything that stops static cling. I've tried it all.
