I made bread!!
I made bread for the first time yesterday and it turned out so good!!
I’ve been wanting to make bread for the longest time now, and I finally decided to buy the yeast for it the other day. Yesterday I finally went for it, and honestly winged it. It didn’t look the best when I put it in the pan, but after about an hour of baking, it looked perfect!
I cut it while it was still warm the first time, so it’s not the prettiest cut, but the next ones made the best sandwich!! I’m so proud of myself for finally making bread, and amazingly for my first time too! I’m not sure if I could duplicate this the same way next time because I didn’t really measure how much flour I used, but I can’t wait to make it again (hopefully even better next time!)!
What I used was:
•Regular flour
•A tiny bit of sugar (to activate the yeast)
•Warm water
•Yeast
•Salt
⭐️Overall rating: 5/5

Making homemade bread can be a rewarding and fulfilling experience for both novice and seasoned bakers. For beginners, it's essential to use simple ingredients such as flour, yeast, warm water, sugar, and salt to get started. Begin by activating the yeast in warm water mixed with sugar to help it foam. As you mix the ingredients, don't worry too much about precision; baking can be forgiving! Remember to let the dough rise in a warm, draft-free area and cover it with a cloth. For added flavor and texture, consider incorporating herbs or seeds into your dough. After kneading, allow your bread to rise again before baking to achieve a lighter loaf. Also, the use of a baking stone or Dutch oven can enhance the crust's quality. Watching your bread bake and smelling the aroma as it fills your kitchen can be a delightful experience that encourages future baking adventures. Experiment with different recipes and techniques to find your favorites, making bread at home a wonderful way to spend time in the kitchen!
