Claremont Packing House
Hey foodies! If you're ever in Southern California, you absolutely have to check out the Claremont Packing House. I recently spent a sunny afternoon there, and it’s truly a gem for anyone looking for great food, delicious coffee, and a lively atmosphere. It’s not just a building; it's a whole experience! My day started bright and early, and I was craving something hearty. I headed straight for El Primo, which is one of the fantastic Claremont Packing House restaurants. Their breakfast burrito is legendary, and for good reason! It comes perfectly cut in half, showing off all the yummy fillings – eggs, cheese, potatoes, and your choice of meat – served alongside crispy potato cubes. It’s the kind of breakfast that sets you up for a perfect day. While I was enjoying my meal, I spotted people enjoying tacos and other dishes, so there’s clearly a lot to explore for lunch and dinner too. After breakfast, a coffee break was definitely in order. I popped over to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, which has such a cozy spot inside the Packing House. Their iced coffee hit the spot, especially on a warm California day. There’s nothing quite like sipping on a perfectly brewed iced coffee with their signature purple straw, just watching the world go by. It’s a great place to relax, catch up on some reading, or just enjoy the vibrant energy of the area. For those with a sweet tooth (like me!), you can't leave without trying Insomnia Cookies. I grabbed an iced coffee from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and paired it with one of their freshly baked cookies—the waffle-like topping on mine was an absolute dream! It’s the perfect treat to cap off your visit or grab for later. Beyond these personal favorites, the Claremont Packing House is home to a diverse array of dining options. If you're looking for something more substantial for lunch or dinner, you'll find places like Finney's Crafthouse Claremont, known for its extensive craft beer selection and elevated pub fare. For a more upscale experience, The Whisper House Claremont offers a fantastic menu and a great ambiance, perfect for a special evening out. And if you’re into fresh, healthy options, you might even find something similar to Poke Dot Claremont, though I didn't personally try it this trip. The outdoor seating areas, often shaded by bright red umbrellas, make it an ideal spot to enjoy the beautiful California weather. Whether you're a local or just passing through, the packing house offers something for every palate. It truly embodies the foodie spirit of California!
