Freida, Freida, Freida 🤌🏽
This was an audio book that usually takes me 3 days to finish because (I have a life and can’t listen to this audiobook ALL day) but this one took me soooooo long 😩😩😩 I was just over it.
This book wasn’t bad at all but I have this love and hate with Freida. I always say “ I won’t read her new book” and end up reading it or listening to it 🤦🏽♀️
This one is so predictable (because I already know how she writes) though there was a plot twist I didn’t see it coming BUT I wasn’t shocked either so 🤷🏽♀️ it was ok.

Listening to Freida McFadden’s audiobooks has become somewhat of a ritual for me, even though I often find her style predictable. What keeps drawing me back is her unique ability to blend familiar thriller tropes with compelling character development that feels personal and engaging. Despite knowing roughly what to expect, her stories usually manage to surprise me just enough to stay interesting. This latest audiobook, though slower to finish because of a busy schedule, proved no exception. While it didn’t completely wow me, the unexpected plot twist provided a refreshing break from the predictability, reminding me why Freida remains on my must-listen list. For fans of psychological thrillers and suspenseful narratives, her books offer a balance of tension and character-driven plots that keep you hooked without overwhelming complexity. Additionally, her background as a York Times bestselling author of titles like THE HOUSEMAID and THE INTRUDER adds credibility and shows her consistent presence in the thriller genre. Whether you prefer reading her novels or listening to the audiobook versions, there’s a rhythm and style in her work that many readers grow to love despite the initial hesitation. If you’ve ever grappled with the love-hate relationship of following a favorite author’s releases, McFadden’s latest is worth the listen. It’s a reminder that even predictable storytelling can be made fresh with the right pacing and character insights. For those new to her work, starting with THE HOUSEMAID or THE INTRUDER might offer a strong foundation before diving into the nuances of her recent titles.
