Saying goodbye to my childhood dog

We adopted Anna at the beginning of 2017. She was a rescue pup that had lived on the streets and had heartworm. At her first checkup, the vet told us to get her a cheeseburger to help her gain some weight and to make her love us (she already did!)

She has been through so much with us. Including 3 new dogs and 5 different house changes. There were a few months we weren’t able to live with her but she lit up every time we visited.

A couple of months ago we started noticing her hips giving out more and she began to have strokes. We tried to make her comfortable but she continued to get worse and the strokes affected her more every time.

It’ll be one of the hardest things to do but we are looking back on all of the best moments with her
