i really did enjoy books one !! the main character callie is adorable and i love her relationship with animals and EARL! the small bits of callie’s upbringing were a little sad. makes you feel for her.
Callie’s entrance into the undseelie realm had me cracking up 😂 once she falls to meet mendax everything goes falling down from there .. until you meet walter. he’s my favorite character!!
all i have to say is the last two chapters had me rereading them because of the big WTF twist !!

i’m sorry i really did not care for it …
it was super slow.
i do NOT like eli at all. which ended up being earl !! definitely pissed me off a little. but he’s super gaslighty and to weirdly cheerful. i still think it’s all an act !! mendax tells caly how it is and lets her be herself unlike eli 🙄 i don’t really care for the back and forth on calys confusion on who to pick between .. it gets annoying through out the book.
the ending was still a WTF moment !! i did cry when my favorite character dies .. of course !!
i will be reading the third one when it comes out !!
