INTENTIONAL THOUGHTS AS A MOM

There’s a new school year just around the corner, and I’m setting goals with my intentionality. Technically, I guess I can set them whenever? But I’d rather give myself a start date, for my sake.

1. I think we’re all guilty about going places with our kids, doing things with and for our kids, but not spending genuine time with our children. So this year- no distractions, just quality time with my boys.

2. Water, my body needs water and not iced coffee. … sigh… but seriously. Starting to be more intentional with protein and healthy fats during the day and cut out the quick fixes for my tired self. Also - walking more. Especially now that the weather is getting cooler…..at some point.

3. Being intentional with positive thoughts. I’m the worst about my mentality. My negative thoughts take hold and then I’m just in a loop.

4. This is the start of a new season. Paying myself first and foremost, starting to save more, and getting on top of things I’ve ignored.

5. What we allow in our homes influences us in ways we don’t realize. What we watch, listen to, the clutter- it all affects what we put out. So I’m going to be very selective about what comes into the house.

... Read moreWith the new school year fast approaching, many moms are looking to make intentional changes. Setting clear goals can help you transition into this new season effectively. Focus on quality time with your children—replace distractions with meaningful moments. Health is also critical. Instead of relying on quick caffeine fixes, consider increasing your water intake and incorporating proteins and healthy fats into your diet. Walking can become a treasured routine as weather permits, keeping both you and your family active. Mental well-being is equally essential. Adopt an attitude of positivity; it has profound impacts on how you interact with your kids and handle daily challenges. Moreover, consider your home environment carefully. What you allow in your space—whether it be media consumption or physical clutter—shapes your mindset and your family's atmosphere. By being selective about your surroundings, you can cultivate a more peaceful and productive home. Remember, taking care of yourself is crucial; paying yourself first, whether financially or emotionally, enables you to be more present for your children. Engage with your community—share your ideas and seek suggestions from fellow moms as you embark on this journey together.
