Meal planning & grocery list
Trying to cook more at home. Trying to plan my grocery trip 🩷
When I started trying to cook more at home, I quickly realized how essential a well-organized meal plan and grocery list are to making the process smooth and enjoyable. Including a variety of fresh produce like chicken breast, tomatoes, avocados, shrimp, and fruits such as bananas, blackberries, and kiwis helps keep meals nutritious and exciting. Planning meals around versatile ingredients, such as using canned beans and tomato sauce for quick stews, or frozen veggies and garlic bread for convenient sides, can save time. Creating a categorized grocery list based on stores also helps. For example, items from Sam's like meats and fruits, and items from HEB like salad mix and frozen foods, make the shopping trip more efficient. I also include snacks and easy-to-prepare meals like frozen pizza or Nutella sticks for quick fixes. In terms of meal ideas, soups with shrimp or carne con chile, spaghetti with salad, and carne quizada are on my rotation. Keeping pantry staples such as creamers, canned chicken, and corn ensures flexibility during the week. I find drinking options like orange juice and kool-aid enhance the meal experience. Overall, combining thoughtful planning, diversified ingredients, and a well-structured list not only reduces food waste but also makes cooking at home a delightful habit. This method improved my grocery trips and cooking confidence significantly.

Wait people don’t have HEB in other states? 😠I LOVE HEB!! HEE HEE
