How to grow your nails out with builder gel in 8 steps 🫧
Step 1: Gently drill off your old builder gel so your nail is smooth. Don’t touch your natural nails with this bit.
Step 2: Use a sanding band to buff the rest of the nail.
Step 3: Prep your cuticles. Going in forward and reverse motion.
Step 4: File your nails to the shape and length that you want.
Step 5: Apply cuticle softener to remove your cuticles gently.
Step 6: Rub on sunscreen to protect your skin from the uv light.
Step 7: Apply acetone as a dehydrator.
Step 8: Paint primer over your whole nail.
Step 9: Paint a thin layer of your builder gel over your whole nail and cure.
Step 10: Paint a thin layer again but don’t cure it, then get a bead of builder gel and apply it to the appex of the nail. Work it back and forth into the slip layer and it will melt evenly. You can turn your finger upside down so the apex forms smoothly. Look at your line of light on the nail as a reference. Cure it and you are done.
Extra tips:
Make sure to not use too much product because it will flood so much easier. Less is more.
If you do cure it and you did flood your cuticles you can always go back in with a nail bit and clean it up. Also you can buff your nail to be even with a nail bit or nail file. This product is very forgiving I love it so much.
Using acetone will ensure the cuticle bed area will be dried out and you’ll be able to apply the product as close to the bed of your nails as possible. When you wash your nails before applying builder gel or any gel it will make your cuticle beds swell up with moisture making it harder to get closer to the nail.
Buffing the nail will help so the product will adhere to the nail.
Painting a slip layer will make it so the bead of builder gel will melt into a layer already applied and you will be able to build the apex and the side walls will already have product.
Adding a bead of builder gel helps build the apex of the nail which will give it the strength it needs to grow healthy and strong.
